Yarn
- Yarn is not accepted for recycling at many recycling centers since it isn’t included among the authorized recyclable items. If it cannot be reused, you should dispose of it in the compost bin.
- Yarns from natural fibers may be composted as they will degrade over time. But acrylic, polyester, nylon, and other synthetic yarns might be more difficult to be naturally degraded.
- You can always donate/share leftover yarns or re-use them in knitting, crocheting, or DIY crafts.
- Scrap yarns from knitting/crocheting can make another item if they were collected all together.
