Hanger
Plastic, wire, and wooden hangers are all very difficult to recycle. Plastic that makes the plastic hangers are often mixed with different types of plastics or chemicals, and wooden hangers are mostly finished with varnishes and chemical touches which makes them hard to be recycled. All types of hangers are not accepted by curbside recycling programs. Especially wire hangers may injure the workers if they are disposed of in the recycling bins.
- hangers with specific names of the stores printed will be accepted back from the store you bought the clothes from.
- Wire hangers without any damages will often be accepted by dry cleaners.
